The Birthing of .

Changing Reality

Hebrews
10:19-22
“Therefore,
brethren,
having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new
and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is,
His flesh and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw
near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts
sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure
water.”
It was in July
2003, when God called me to
organize a prayer meeting with a group of young women, in which the
birthing of Changing Reality On Our Knees Ministries surfaced. God
charged us with the word in Hebrews 10:19-25 and I did not quite
understand it all but I was obedient. Long before God birthed out this
ministry, He had to take me through years of process: My character, my
mind, my heart, and my spirit. One thing that I have learned through
the years of God processing me is that whatever He starts in a person's
life, He will surely finish. I believe that whole-heartedly, because I
can remember, at the age of fifteen, a word of prophecy planted the
seed of this ministry in my spirit. Then six to seven years later, God
brought it forth. It is always amazing to watch and see how God chooses
to perform those things which He says He will do.
And so
it was, that at the start of this ministry, I was twenty one years old
and I possessed very little knowledge about leading or organizing
anything. All that I had was my relationship and experiences with the
Lord God Almighty. Our first meeting was on July 23rd, 2003, in
Riverdale, Maryland. I honestly thought that the prayer meetings, with
the group of women, were going to be very, very temporary. I did not
think that God was really going to give me a global vision or college
campus vision for this ministry. However, the very day that God charged
me to carry out His instructions concerning C.R.O.O.K. Ministries is
when I knew that this was something that He called me to do and not
something that I thought up on my own.
The way in
which God divinely placed the group of nine women together
was timely and effective. One thing that was significant about this
group of women is that we all came from various backgrounds but, had
the same thing in common: our love and desperate need for God. In the
beginning, I was calling it a women's ministry dealing with marriage
preparation but, then later as we began to grow and God challenged us
more, our focus also grew. God began to birth us out more and more each
week as we encouraged ourselves and each other in the Word of God and
made sure that we were holding each other accountable for the life that
we were all proclaiming to live. There were many pastors, ministers,
preachers, and other powerful men and women of God that imparted the
Word within us so powerfully. Those teachings and their preaching
encouraged us to hold fast to the things God called us to. All of us
were dealing with issues within our life and we needed to be restored
back to right relationship with God. As more and more time went on, God
began to take C.R.O.O.K. to another level.
Currently we
are allowing God to create the
foundation of this ministry, which is built on the teaching and
preaching of groundbreaking levels of prayer and fasting. Also, the
releasing the restoration power of God through prayer, discipleship,
accountability, and teaching is truly vital. The ministry is geared
towards men and women of God and unbelievers who want a deeper
relationship with or want to know God through prayer and the power of
His Word.
Is anyone among you
suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is
anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and
let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
. . .The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. (James 5:13-17)
God is equipping the
women of C.R.O.O.K. Ministries to be intercessors and to train up
intercessors to pray in the Spirit with power and authority for the
body of Christ. Through prayer, God has called us to boldly declare,
with authority in Christ Jesus, that change, breakthrough, and healing
be made manifest within the lives of God's people.
