II Chronicles 7:2 says –“ And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.” Verse 3 says – “And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement and worshipped, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth forever.” Remember that, through the power of Christ, you body is now the living temple of God. When you allow the glory of the Lord to enter, you will experience the fullness of God in your life. Romans 12:1 says “I beseech you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” First Corinthians 6:19 says “What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” Allow the glory of God to fill your temple on this week. As you rise to a new day repeat these words three times “Lord , Fill my Temple”.
Week One – I Corinthians 6:20 – For ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Thought – Lord, help me to flee from the devices of the world so that my thoughts, actions and deeds testify to the changing power of your glory. Lord, I surrender this day every imagination and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God and I bring it unto the obedience of Christ. I cast out the sin and consecrate my life so that I might receive your glory on this day. Lord fill my temple.
Week Two– II Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Thought – Lord, I have tried everything, but my life is still a vicious cycle. Today, I receive the liberty that only your spirit can provide. Oh Lord, this day I declare my liberty in your Spirit. The blood of your son Jesus has cleansed me. The power of the Holy Ghost has now liberated me. Generational curses are broken in my life. Addictions and habits are destroyed as I release myself into the overflow of your Spirit. Oh God. Because I am yours I no longer walk forward while looking back. I no longer walk with a hung-down head because your Spirit has set me free and “he who the Son sets free is free indeed”. Lord fill my temple.
Week Three – Leviticus 8:10-12 – And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them. And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the lavar and his foot, to sanctify them. And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron’s head and anointed him, to sanctify him.
Thought – Lord, sanctify me this day. As I anoint my head with holy oil, consecrate me for your service. I know that if I want the power of God to fill every area of my life, I must be sanctified by the power of God’s word. The blood of Jesus cleanses us from sin, while his word keeps us from being stained again. The people and materials that were used in the temple had to be cleansed and set apart (sanctified) for use in the temple. The items that were sanctified by Moses and the priests could no longer be used for the things of the world once they were set apart for use in the temple. I’ve been called out and filled by God for the sole purpose of His Holy use and service. Lord, I pray that you sanctify me and fill me with your Holy Spirit.
Week Four – II Chronicles 7:3 …the fire came down…the glory of the Lord upon the house…bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement and worshipped, and praised the Lord saying, for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
Thought – His fire, His glory and their worship. These are three of the main ingredients to a temple that is filled with the power of God. Fire purges, His glory fills, and their worship extends the mercies of God. I will allow the fire of God to purge my heart of unrighteousness, then I will let the winds of his Holy Spirit fill the empty space. Finally, I will praise him for his mercy which has given me another chance to get it right.
Week Five – Acts 2:1-4 – And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Thought – Lord, this is my prayer for today: Baptize me and fill my temple with the power of your Holy Ghost just as you did on the day of Pentecost. My heart, my mind and my soul are now in one accord with your will, your way and your word. Father, in the name of Jesus I say yes, yes, yes. I will begin now to worship God and experience the wind, the fire, the praise and the tongues. Lord fill my temple in Jesus name!
