The Power of God's Plan

Minister Shola A. Robinson, born September 29, 1981 in Takoma Park, Maryland and raised in Riverdale, Maryland is the first of three children born to Kola and Joyce Robinson. Altogether, she has two sisters, two brothers, twenty-two cousins and fifteen aunts and uncles.

Born Shola Ann Robinson, she bears her father's and mother's middle names: Shola, a derivative of Oritsesola meaning God is my wealth and Ann, meaning full of grace. Her sentiments are that a person's name can be very much related to the things that they may or may not experience within their life. Having a bi-cultural background—Nigerian and African-American—has instinctively permitted her to embrace diverse cultures, peoples, and other relative issues concerning diversity.

At the tender age of thirteen, she gave her heart to the Lord and received salvation at Grace Church of the Nazarene in Capitol Heights, Maryland. This was an immense and pivotal moment within every aspect of her life. It is imperative to acknowledge the things that led up to her receiving her salvation from the Lord; for instance, God used her aunt, Debra Grant, to make intercession for her soul. It was her Aunt Debra who introduced her to the Lord our Savior, through the life that she lived as a mighty woman of God. The wisdom and power that God imparted into Debra was also imparted into Min. Robinson. There were many men and women of God who were used powerfully and mightily by God to shape this vessel.

Minister Robinson was brought up by her parents as a Jehovah's Witness so when she gave her life to the Lord, it caused dissension within her home. In spite of all of the contention, she remained in the hand of God as His servant.

In July of 2003, God began to do a new thing in the life of Minister Robinson. This new thing led to the birthing of Changing Reality On Our Knees Ministries (C.R.O.O.K. Ministries), a prayer and intercession ministry in which God called nine women to commit their lives to the principles and power of prayer, intercession, accountability, faith, and love.

In October 2004, Minister Robinson was ordained in Richmond, Virginia under the Interdenominational Church of God of America in which Bishop Leon Ralph remains as the presiding Bishop. As a minister over youth, she has been called by God to teach, mentor, and direct young people in God. She is very passionate about issues concerning our youth and the generations that are coming. God has blessed her with such a passion and sincere love for children and young adults.

Currently, Minister Robinson resides in Landover, Maryland and is working full time at the University of Maryland, College Park as a Motor equipment operator. She is also seeking a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences at the University of Maryland, College Park and hopes to later attain a Masters in Divinity and Counseling. She is a spiritual daughter to Pastor Gregory L. Simpson and Co-Pastor Carol B. Simpson of Kingdom of God Deliverance Ministries in Culpeper, Virginia under ICOG of America.
