I lie silent within myself. Quiet and hidden even from self. Gently my thoughts lie asleep.
Quietly my dreams fade away. On the shelf, I had placed my desires. Hope had escaped through the crevices of my mind.
How dare you to have hopes and dreams! How dare you to desire anything!
I had entered the jungle where the king of the beast lives. Who seemed to move quiet and unassumingly through the jungle - Declaring his kingship without making a sound, not even a quiet roar.
Who do you seek? Where is your target? Who do you desire to devour?
Quiet steps, slow movement to ease upon your victim.
Unaware that danger is near and that an enemy even exists is the deadliest stage for the victim.
Step by step and inch by inch the beast makes his approach. Camouflaged in the jungle, drawing closer and closer to his prize.
Hark, I hear a sound. Soft and slow as near me it grows. I must seek safety, and Up is my approach.
Low is attainable for the beast, but High is out of reach.
The beast roared as I took flight for higher ground. Efforts to reach me were fruitless
Each strike towards me sent me higher and higher. The climb was too great for the beast
And the height was rewarding for me.
The beast did not want to give up, but the climb was surely too great.
Pacing back and forth, not wanting to lose the prize,
I gained confidence in the climb and victory was truly mine.
Never surrender to the voice of defeat
For it was only the sound of the beast roaring loud and deep
While my fears and doubts went to sleep - Hope sprung forth as the morning dew.
Dreams raised their head as a new borne babe - My heart sang like a bird on a spring morning.
A smile took possession of my face - As I embraced a brand new day!
The beast lost and victory was mine!
