The Power of God's Plan
Natasha Miller was born in her family's hometown of Hampton, Virginia
March 25th 1982. She was raised in Washington DC, where she now
resides. Natasha is the middle child and the only girl of three
children born to a single mother. She is currently a member of Kingdom
of God Deliverance Ministries in Culpeper, Virginia under the
leadership of Pastors Gregory and Co-Pastor Carol Simpson. Natasha was
privileged and blessed to graduate from Georgetown Day High School in
uptown Washington, D.C. in 2000 and Trinity College of Hartford,
Connecticut in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and a minor
in Social Movements. She is also a member of Pi Gamma Mu, a
social science society. She enjoys reading, hearing about, and
volunteering in any activities associated with social change.
Despite the many obstacles and struggles
Natasha has been through in her life, it has been her desire to help
people even since she was a little child. Just recently within her
life, she has discovered why God has allowed people to flock to her and
easily voice their problems in life. God has truly gifted her in the
area of counseling and it is by God's grace that she has discovered
this gift and purpose. She acknowledges that her giftedness in
counseling is not in her ability to help or solve peoples' problems
but, in her God-given ability to discern when people just need someone
to listen while they release their pain and sorrow. She believes that
some of the things she went through in her life were clearly meant to
happen so that another person wouldn't have to go through it quite as
hard. In other words, her misery is her ministry!
Also, it is with this gift of counseling
that Natasha is working in now, currently as a job counselor at Jubilee
Jobs in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Her primary
role there is to find jobs for individuals coming out of incarceration,
substance abuse treatment, or other hardships in life. She plans to go
back to school to pursue a higher degree in the educational counseling
field. She hopes with the medium of this site she can share her
testimonials, life experiences, and writings to encourage as well as
learn from others.
